Winchell Lake Compressor Station
The Winchell Lake Compressor Station Unit Addition involved the installation of a single 30 MW turbo-compressor package (gas turbine and compressor) and tie-into existing NPS 48, yard piping. Construction included installations of Auxiliary Power Unit, Primary Power Unit, Mechanical Building containing a glycol heating boiler system, Instrument Air Building, Electrical Building – Motor Control System and Uninterruptible Power System, Yard Piping, Utilities and Control Buildings including Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and Programmable Logic Control (PLC). The project, in South Western Alberta, was safely and successfully delivered on time and on budget from Q3-2018 to Q4-2019.
